The Company and the Society
PHAETON Holding Company today is a large company in the North-West of Russia. By expanding our business we facilitate development of the economy: reviving loss-making enterprises, reconstructing buildings, creating new jobs. Business is not a thing in itself; it develops only within the society and for the needs of the society. Believing in this maxim we contribute not only to the economical development of the country but social projects as well, helping those who need help the most.
The management of the holding company believes firmly that on-going support of concrete businesses and projects is much more helpful than many instances of one-time assistance. PHAETON Holding Company has long-standing partner relations with other businesses of the region.
PHAETON Holding Company assists Railroad Troops Cadet Corps. The holding company caters to all educational and recreational needs of the Corps. In 2006 PHAETON Holding Company purchased music equipment for Alye Pogony music ensemble of the Corps. The holding company also helps the Corps celebrate important events, New Year parties and Graduation Proms. The holding company also assists the teaching staff of the Corps by awarding special bonuses and a yearly prize to best teachers.
Over several years PHAETON Holding Company has supported Nikolsky Orphanage. The holding company spends considerable resources on repairing the orphanage building and attending to the needs of the students. The holding company assists the teaching staff in buying clothes and footwear, athletic wear, and stationery for students and pays bonuses to the teachers. PHAETON Holding Company purchases sweets for New Year parties, and buys passes to new year celebrations and special events. In 2006 the holding company assisted in setting up a computer class in the orphanage.
During the celebration of St. Petersburg tercentennial PHAETON Holding Company took an active part in Monument and Memorial Plaque Restoration Project. The historical and cultural heritage preservation program included the most significant and hard-to-finance project. The holding company became an official partner in Tercentennial Celebrations. Within the partnership program PHAETON Holding Company spent over half a million rubles on restoring four architectural landmarks. The holding company paid for restoration of the Peter the Great monument on Ploschad Dekabristov, Pushkin monument on Arts Square, and the two sphinxes near the Academy of Arts. The holding company dedicated the sponsorship project to our city whose beauty and grandeur are highlighted by these monuments.
In 2006, to celebrate its Quindecennial, PHAETON Holding Company held a large-scale Clean Yards program. In October and November the staff of the holding company organized seven volunteer clean-ups, and made the seven untended yards cleaner and cozier. The residents in the area supported the event and helped the clean-up project making it a family outing event. To speed things up, the holding company provided hot coffee, joyful music and arranged prizes for all participants. After the clean-up effort all volunteers received free cinema, theater and concert tickets, and passes to entertainment events in recreational centers on the next day.
